Publications & Presentations

Shelby was the lead author on the U.S. chapter of Global Arbitration Review’s on-line publication “Know-how: Litigation” from 2018 through 2020. He was general editor of a 2003 publication of Kluwer Law International entitled International Civil Procedure. It compared civil procedure across 33 jurisdictions. He also edited the "Alternatives to Litigation” section of a 1989 publication of the American Bar Association entitled The Corporate Litigator. Each year he is one of several people who edit and publish the AtlAS Desk Book: The International Lawyer’s Dispute Resolution Manual which includes, among other things, prominent treaties, statutes and “soft law” frequently consulted by lawyers engaged in international commercial arbitration, along with model clauses and rules used by 20 of the world’s most prominent arbitral administrative institutions. He is the author or co-author of several articles in legal and business publications. Additionally, he is a frequent CLE speaker.
